Mainly, I swim but occasionally I'll use the cross country machine. I'm still afraid to try the classes. They seem a bit hardcore at my gym. I'm thinking about taking a yoga class because my boyfriend says that I need some "body awareness" lessons. We've had several sex-related injuries in bed. Most of those injuries revolve around me accidently kicking, crashing into, bumping or pulling his balls. Who knew they were so sensitive?!?
One thing I do at the gym is look at other women's bodies. I especially do this in the locker room. I never look at their va-jay-jays! That's a big no-no (and sort weird & pervy too.) There seem to be a lot of women in London with unshaved bushes. I find that a complete turn off. I just cannot look at that. Rather, I check out other women's breasts.
I don't think I'm looking in a sexual way. No woman at the gym ever looked good enough for me to pounce on. I'm just looking out of curious. I've seen big boobs, small boobs, droopy boobs, fake books. You really see it all in the locker room.
I look at women's bodies in a comparative way, i.e. Is she skinnier than me? Are her thighs thinner than mine? etc. I also wonder how many laps in the pool I have to endure in order to look like some of the really thin women?
You also see which women are comfortable with their bodies and which are not. I'm sort half way in between. The women that are completely comfortable with their bodies walk around the locker room in only a towel -- on their head. The rest of their body is completely naked. They'll walk from one end of the locker room to the other with no shame They have long twenty-minute conversations while completely naked. They see so sure of themselves that I bet that they could actually forget to put their clothes on and walk out of the locker room. These are the same women who are naked and spread eagle in the sauna. They almost always have perfect bodies. I would to have their confidence and figure.
Then you get the terminally shy women. The ones who basically mummify themselves in a towel for fear of being seen. When they undress they take off one piece of clothing at a time then quickly slip into their gym ware. Or sometimes they're so shy they go to the toilets to change clothes.
I just in the middle, really. I always have a towel on in the locker room. I let it drop in the sauna, but I keep my legs shut! I change clothes in the locker room just as I would at home. Except I try to be a bit neater in the locker room in consideration of the shared space. At the end of the day we're all women. I try not to stress about it. I'm sure women that check out my body and are disgusted or fascinated.
I do wonder, however, do men look at other men in their locker room?

On a side note, there's an awesome prank video where a black woman pretends (I guess she does) to be blind and finds herself in the men's locker room- naked. That's the most awesome video I've seen that involved nudity without sex.
They look with intense, pathological amounts of fear of being called gay. I know, I have had the experience and loathed every minute of it...
If I may...
I don't look at other men in the locker room. Or I try not to, anyway. I do the wrapping-a-towel-round-my-midriff thing and slip my underpants on while still wearing the towel.
Not that I'm ashamed of my manhood, as such. It's just that I'm not comfortable with my body in any way whatsoever, so people not seeing a large part of it helps.
Or preferably, I just use an individual cubicle.
I think a lot more men than me are less, uh, 'reserved'.
My ex BF always talked about men's penis's after returning from the gym. I worried about him at that place. He didn't become bisexual, but did not stop mentioning the other guys.
Hetrosexual men DO NOT like other hetrosexual men looking at them. About the last fucking thing on this planet I want to see is another man's dick!
Ask any hetrosexual man what he would do if he were invisible and 99,999 times out of 100,000, he will say "Go into the girls locker room!"
haha this post cracked me up... of course balls are sensitive... and, i think dudes look too in the same way you were describing... its like a sizing up thing. some guys go overboard on the just walking around naked thing too, its like ok we get it you're comfortable but put it away old man before you trip yourself.
