If you watch some of todays biggest TV hit series from across the genre board you will find that Black men and women are not being cast opposite of each other as love interest. For instance, in the Showtime series “Weeds” they show a Black man with White women and on the Sci-Fi Channel’s hit series Battlestar Gallactica there is a Black woman with a White man. On regular network television it is the same situation if you look a “Lost” there is a Black woman and White man, and on Heroes there is a Black man with a White woman. Are the networks trying to say that the viewing public will not believe or accept Black people loving each other or are the networks attempting to mentally and emotionally condition the Black community into believing that as a Black person in order for you to be happy you must date marry and mate with someone outside of your race?
