Actually, cyrillic is not a language, it's an alphabet. Used in Russian and many other languages.

As for Albanian and Greek... Greek is the oldest living language today.
And Albanian and Greek don't share the same roots. It's more a case of Albanians having "borrowed" Greek words in the distant past due to trade contacts with the greek.
Well, I guess saying they don't have the same roots doesn't quite tell the truth. Both Albanian and Greek belong to the Indo-European language family, but so do Spanish, English, Hindi, Portuguese, Bengali, Russian, German, Marathi, French, Italian, Punjabi and Urdu.
Okay, okay, I just basically paraphrased the Wikipedia entry for the various subjects, but oh well. At least nobody can say you don't learn things at naivelondongirl.com ;)
